Surrounded by 300 acres of cultivated vineyards and farmland, Talon Winery and Vineyards offers wine tastings and outdoor walking paths in a scenic, relaxing venue. The tasting room and attached gift shop are located within an 18th century farmhouse, hearkening back to a time before industrialization and modernization. Some of the top wines produced at the winery include the Coyote Red, medal winner at the 2007 International Eastern Wine Competition, and the Monarch, another award-winning red wine. The vineyards are hidden away about 12 miles due south of Lexington.
