The Ashland Henry Clay Estate encapsulates the grounds where Henry Clay, the 19th-century senator, lawyer and diplomat, once lived. Visitors can take a guided tour of the home and grounds, both renovated to appear as they did in the latter part of the 1800s, watch a short video on the famous politician, buy a memento at the gift shop and eat a prepared lunch out on the grounds. Positioned a few miles southeast of downtown, the estate is near the Idle Hour Country Club.
